Lasix.

Lasix (furosemide) is a water pill that you may need to use to treat high blood pressure or fluid retention associated with some medical conditions you may have. Your dose of Lasix may need to be changed occasionally to make sure you are benefitting from the treatment. Do not take more or less of Lasix based on your own assumptions, as this may lead to an overdose or you will be unable to benefit from the treatment as much as you otherwise would. The following symptoms of an overdose are possible: ringing in the ears, dizziness, loss of appetite, fainting, confusion, feeling light-headed, and weakness. Report to your health care provider any other medications you are using, especially vitamins, aspirin, corticosteroids, probenecid, lithium, digoxin, indomethacin, other medications for high blood pressure, and medications for diabetes, as interactions have been reported. Lasix can cause a number of side effects – mild and more serious ones. You will need to do nothing about such mild side effects as numbness, dizziness, burning, constipation, diarrhea, blurred vision, headache, stomach pain, or tingly feeling, while fever, unusual bleeding, severe rash, sore throat, difficulty breathing or swallowing, loss of hearing, and ringing in the ears must be reported.
